Do you have a question you want answered by Melissa Schiefelbein?
As individuals with special needs progress through life, the goal is often clear: greater independence, improved quality of life, and the ability to navigate the world beyond structured services. But in reality, the transition from clinic-based support to home and community independence can be full of uncertainty. Services end. Support fades. Yet the needs—and the potential—remain.

Technology can help, but it’s only part of the picture. True success comes from pairing tools with tailored strategies, caregiver training, and a deep understanding of what daily life really looks like for families.

That’s why we’re hosting a webinar that goes beyond safety. It’s about helping individuals thrive—at home, in the community, and beyond—by addressing the challenges that arise when services no longer match the level of support someone still needs.

Join Melissa Schiefelbein, Clinical Advisor at AngelSense, as she shares real-life stories and case studies from the field—highlighting how caregivers, providers, and families are using smart technology, strong training practices, and individualized support strategies to close the gap between service delivery and real-world independence.

What You’ll Learn:

-How to bridge the gap between clinical care and everyday independence

-How AngelSense technology is being used to support routines, transitions, and autonomy

-Strategies for effective caregiver and parent training, and how to gradually fade support

-Best practices for fidelity, compliance, and tracking parent-implemented ABA goals

-How to empower families and care teams to confidently take the lead

-Real-world stories that illustrate what works—and why

MS, BCBA, Ensora ABA Therapy Product Owner
Allison Milam, MS BCBA has been involved in the special needs community in one way or another since her younger sister was diagnosed with Autism in the late 90s. When Allison volunteered at a Social Skills Summer Camp for kids with Autism, organized by Vanderbilt University, she realized that working with these unique individuals would be the focus of her career path going forward.

She attended Tennessee Tech University in Cookeville, TN where she got her Bachelor's in Special Education in 2010. After working as a K-3 Special Education Teacher and a Positive Behavior Consultant for a grant funded program, she pursued her Master's in ABA and Autism through the Sage Colleges in New York where she graduated in 2014. She obtained her BCBA certification in 2015 and spent the next 7 years delivering ABA services in the home, clinic, school, and community settings.

She enjoyed working for 2 start-up companies from the beginning of their journeys and to watch them grow in size and success while she was there. In 2021, she branched out to combine her love for ABA and technology to work at Ensora Health where she is currently the clinical product owner for our ABA products. She provides clinical insight and consultation when designing new workflows and feature for the products that will continue to make clinicians' jobs easier on a day-to-day basis.
